International students
We welcome international students as they add to the richness and diversity of the intellectual culture here at the Nanyang Business School. In fact, most of our students come from outside Singapore, including China, Germany, India and Thailand.
Living expenses
The estimated monthly expenses of an international student in Singapore are as follows:
Estimated monthly expense |
(S$) |
Accommodation (room rental only) |
225 - 550 |
Meals (university canteens & food centres) |
300 - 400 |
Transport expenses (locally) |
100 - 150 |
Other expenses (stationery, toiletries, utilities bill, laundry, recreation, etc.) |
300 - 400 |
Total |
925 - 1500 |
Note: The above expenses may vary according to your individual needs.
You will need to open an account in one of the local banks upon arrival. The minimum deposit is S$500, in the form of cash or traveller’s cheque.
Your stipend will be credited directly to that local bank account monthly. As it takes one month for the first stipend payment to be credited to your bank account, you should have approximately S$2,500 to cover your immediate expenses during your first month in the programme.
