Research & teaching assistantship
As part of the PhD programme, students are given the opportunity to be a research and/or teaching assistant.
As research assistants, students will be exposed to research norms and values. This is an essential part of the doctoral training, as the collaboration with faculty will help students pick up good research knowledge, so that they may formulate dissertation topics and publish high-quality research papers later.
As teaching assistants, students will assist faculty in the preparation and delivery of courses. This training is vital for research students who subsequently pursue an academic career.
